Giga-tronics Finalizes $10.0 Million Order for High Performance YIG Tuned Filter Products

SAN RAMON, Calif., May 18, 2015 -- Giga-tronics Incorporated announced today that it has finalized a $10.0 million multi-year production order of high performance YIG filters for a major aerospace company. The Company expects to start shipments for this order in August 2016, and continue shipments through early 2019. On June 2, 2014 the Company announced the associated $6.5 million nonrecurring engineering (NRE) order for the development of this variant of its high performance fast tuning YIG filters. The associated NRE development work has been ongoing since the June 2, 2014 announcement, and is near completion.

SmartChip MyDesign(TM) Quantitative PCR System to be Used for Gene Expression and Other Studies

FREMONT, Calif., March 26, 2015  -- WaferGen Bio-systems, Inc. (WGBS) announced today an important industrial partnership with Procter & Gamble whereby Procter & Gamble will utilize WaferGen's SmartChip MyDesign(TM) quantitative PCR System to conduct various gene expression and other studies.

As the amount of genomics data increases with the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and microarrays, the need for high-throughput target validation becomes more acute. WaferGen's SmartChip platform offers two products that enhance these efforts, SmartChip MyDesign(TM) for qPCR and SmartChip TE(TM)for NGS sample preparation.

Giga-tronics Reports First Quarter FY 2015 Results

Net Sales Increase 50% Over First Quarter FY 2014

SAN RAMON, Calif., Aug. 4, 2014  -- Giga-tronics Incorporated (GIGA) reported today net sales of $4.5 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2015, an increase of 50% when compared to $3.0 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2014, and 55% when compared to $2.9 million in the immediately preceding quarter ended March 29, 2014. Initial deliveries associated with two large orders received earlier within the first quarter of fiscal 2015 were responsible for the increase in net sales when compared to the two other periods.

Cognex Reports Record Revenue, Net Income and Earnings for the Second Quarter of 2014

NATICK, Mass.-- Cognex Corporation (CGNX) today announced record revenue, net income and earnings per share for the second quarter of 2014. Selected financial data for the quarter and six months ended June 29, 2014 is compared to the first quarter of 2014, the second quarter of 2013 and the first six months of 2013 in Table 1 below. A reconciliation of certain financial measures from GAAP to non-GAAP is shown in Exhibit 2 of this news release.
