Stornoway Announces Formal Production Decision at Renard

Ground Breaking Ceremony Held in the Presence of Philippe Couillard, Premier of Quebec

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--( Jul 10, 2014) - Stornoway Diamond Corporation (SWY.TO) (the "Corporation" or "Stornoway") is pleased to announce that a formal decision to proceed to mine construction and production at the Renard Diamond Project has been made by the Corporation's Board of Directors in connection with the recent closing of the project's comprehensive C$946million(1) financing package on July 8th and the overwhelming approval by Stornoway shareholders of resolutions relating to the financing on June 26th.

Concurrent with this announcement, a ground breaking ceremony was held today at the Renard Project site in the presence of M. Philippe Couillard, the Premier of Québec, M. Jacques Daoust, the Québec Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Exports, M. Jean Boucher, the Member of the Québec National Assembly for Ungava, Chief Richard Shecapio, Chief of the Cree Nation of Mistissini, Mme Manon Cyr, Mayor of Chibougamau and M. Steve Gamache, Mayor of Chapais. Project construction has now been fully mobilized, with commercial production on schedule for the second quarter of 2017 based on first plant commissioning in late 2016.

TORONTO AND NEW YORK, June 13, 2014 - Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. ("Mountain Province", the "Company") (TSX: MPV, NYSE MKT: MDM) today announced that due to strong demand the Company has increased the size of the previously announced non-brokered private placement from C$35 million to approximately C$45 million. The first tranche under the private placement closed on June 12, 2014, and the second tranche is expected to close on or before June 20, 2014.

Bernard Valcourt, has today approved the development of the Gahcho Kué diamond mine as recommended by the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board.

Gahcho Kué Receives Environmental Impact Review Board Approval

De Beers Canada and Mountain Province Diamonds (TSX: MPV, NYSE MKT: MDM) are pleased to announce that the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board (MVEIRB) has concluded the Gahcho Kué Environmental Impact Review and has recommended approval of the proposed Gahcho Kué diamond mine subject to measures and follow-up programs. In a July 19, 2013 letter to the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, the Honourable Bernard Valcourt, the MVEIRB stated: "The Gahcho Kué Panel recommends, pursuant to sub-section 134(2) of the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act, that this development be allowed to proceed subject to implementation of the measures and follow-up programs described in this Report which are necessary to prevent potentially significant adverse impacts on the environment."
