Geo and Alix Resources Announce Historical Potash Hole Plus Update on Manitoba Potash Progress
GEO MINERALS LTD. (\"Geo\" or the \"Company\")(TSX VENTURE:GM) and ALIX RESOURCES CORP. (\"Alix\") (TSX VENTURE:AIX) announce that in the course of the Companies due diligence on their joint-ventured package of potash leases in Saskatchewan it has found information regarding a potash test hole drilled by Canadian Exploration Ltd. in 1965. The hole, located two sections away (approximately two miles) from certain claims recently acquired by Alix and Geo (see news release dated June 13th, 2008), was drilled to a total depth of 3,204 feet and encountered two zones of potash.
In the report, written by Clive Ball (P.Eng.), it is stated that the main zone extended from 3,077 feet to 3,087 feet with an average grade of 27.5% K2O with the potash not being carnallite. A second zone of 9.2 feet was encountered as well, averaging 17.4% K2O from 3,119 feet to 3,128 feet.
To the immediate south of these lands is Potash Corporation\'s Potash Leases. BHP-Billiton potash permit is adjacent to the Alix and Geo freehold\'s.
