International Enexco Commissions Pre-Feasibility Study on the Contact Copper Project, Nevada

28,400 Metres of New Drilling to be Incorporated into Updated Resource Calculation - Expansion and Infill Drilling Continues

International Enexco (TSX VENTURE:IEC) announced today it has retained Gustavson Associates, LLC of Boulder, Colorado to prepare an updated mineral resource estimate incorporating 28,400 metres (m) of new drilling and a Pre-Feasibility Study on Enexco\'s copper project at Contact, Nevada. Gustavson Associates will initially focus on the copper oxide mineralization in the Phase 1 drilling area with an eye towards an open pit heap leach operation using solvent extraction-electrowinning (SX-EW) to produce cathode copper on-site. The Pre-Feasibility Study is expected to be completed by Q1-09 upon conclusion of drilling currently underway in the Phase 2 area, and metallurgical tests, which are being completed at Resource Development Inc. in Wheat Ridge Colorado.

Forest Gate Drills Kelsey Well In Alberta

Forest Gate reports that the prospective natural gas well in Township 43, Range 18 at Kelsey, Alberta was recently drilled, logged, and cased. The logs and geological data support the original optimism and show good potential for natural gas. Perforation and testing operations are scheduled to commence August 22nd.

The Kelsey well, in which Forest Gate has a 38% interest, represents Forest Gate\'s third joint venture agreement with Emerald Bay Energy Inc., Calgary.

Lithic Intersects 9.76 Metres of 11.15% Zinc and 14.94 Metres of 0.22% MoS2 at Crypto

Lithic Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: LTH) (the \"Company\") is pleased to report additional assay results for the Crypto project located in western Utah where zinc-copper-indium mineralization occurs as multiple skarns and replacement bodies hosted in a carbonate sequence near the contact with a high level felsic intrusive complex.

Afri-Can and Deep South Receive Approval From the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia for the Option With Teck Cominco on the Haib Copper Project, Namibia

Afri-Can Marine Minerals Corporation (\"Afri-Can\") (TSX VENTURE: AFA) (FRANKFURT: AJF) and Deep South Mining (PTY) Ltd. (\"Deep South\") announce that the option and joint venture agreement (\"Agreement\") with Teck Cominco Namibia Ltd. (\"Teck Cominco\") (previously announced on July 2, 2008), has been approved by the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia. The Agreement is effective on July 28, 2008. The Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia is comprised of one prospecting license (\"Property\") held by Deep South. Afri-Can has terminated its pre-existing option with Deep South in consideration of certain payments under this Agreement.

Under the terms of the Agreement, Teck Cominco shall have the option to acquire a 70% indirect beneficial interest in the Property by incurring exploration expenditures on the Property totalling US$2 million and incurring optional non-cumulative cash payments to Deep South totalling US$700,000 over 4 years.

Allied Nevada Drills 1,103.5 Feet of Gold and Silver Mineralization in North Brimstone at Hycroft

Allied Nevada Gold Corp. (\"Allied Nevada\" or the \"Company\") (TSX: ANV)(AMEX: ANV) is pleased to announce complete gold and silver assay results for thirty-three exploration holes and four condemnation holes drilled at the Company\'s Hycroft Heap Leach Mine (\"Hycroft\") located near Winnemucca, Nevada. Of the twenty-seven drill holes listed in the table below, twenty-one were drilled in the Fire and Brimstone Zones(1), two in the Silver Camel area, three in the Bay area and one hole was drilled north of the Brimstone pit in the north Foothills area. Core hole H08D-3188, located in the north end of the Brimstone pit and angled to the north out of the pit, intersected 1,103.5 feet of gold and silver mineralization, including 368.5 feet of 0.022 oz/ton gold. This hole was drilled as part of an ongoing program to expand the Hycroft gold and silver sulfide resource in the Brimstone and Silver Camel areas as well as to define areas for potential gold and silver oxide reserves in other areas. The Company currently targets the fourth quarter of 2008 to commence gold production at Hycroft.
