AURORA CANNABIS AND RADIENT TECHNOLOGIES SIGN MOU ON JOINT VENTURE

 

Aurora Cannabis Inc. and Radient Technologies Inc. have signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate an exclusive partnership for the Canadian market with regard to the joint development and commercialization of superior and standardized cannabinoid extracts. As part of the MOU, Aurora will, subject to certain conditions precedent being satisfied, invest up to $2 million into Radient by means of a convertible debenture (the "Debenture").

TORONTO, Nov. 23, 2016 - Canopy Growth Corporation (Canopy Growth) (TSX:CGC.TO - News) is pleased to provide the following update to its June 28, 2016 release on both the joint venture announcement with Entourage Phytolab (Entourage)  and the formation of Bedrocan Brasil (Bedrocan Brasil), both companies partly owned by Canopy Growth Corporation. 

 

First Export to South America

Canopy Growth's wholly-owned subsidiary Bedrocan Canada Inc. (Bedrocan Canada), has successfully exported 10 kg of dried cannabis to Brazil for research purposes. Securing a supply of standardized research grade cannabis is a major milestone in the Entourage clinical development plan and marks the first time to the Company's knowledge that medicinal cannabis from a Canadian Licensed Producer has been exported to South America.

VANCOUVER, BC /November 23, 2016 / Canadian Zeolite Corp.(the "Company") (CNZ.V) (CNZCF) (ZEON.F) is pleased to announce it has reached a Supplier Agreement with Natural Ventures, a Puerto Rico based licensed grower and manufacturer of medical marijuana. Canadian Zeolite will now be working with Natural Ventures to enhance their growing production per square foot with zeolitic fertilizers and substrates.

 

Natural Ventures is located near San Juan, Puerto Rico and has an indoor growing facility of 100,000 square feet. Currently there are over 60,000 registered medical marijuana patients in Puerto Rico and that number is expected to increase significantly in 2017. Natural Ventures CEO, Edgar Montero stated, "We are very excited to be implementing a natural Zeolitic fertilizer for our 2017 crop. With an expected increase in crop yield, we anticipate being able to fully service the increase in demand for our product in Puerto Rico and the other parts of the Caribbean market as they open."

In light of the findings of the Auditor General's Spring 2016 Report outlining cost increases for medical marijuana veterans coverage by Veterans Affairs Canada, the recent VICE News reports alleging unethical or illegal price inflation by two other Licensed Producers as it relates to prices for insurance-covered veterans, recent concerns expressed by CFAMM, and today's resulting policy changes made by the Canadian government, Canopy Growth would like to make it definitively clear that it does not and has never engaged in any practice to inflate pricing for veterans.
