News Release: Tripath Chosen by Hitachi for Plasma TVs; TA2021B Is Featured in Hitachi's Latest Line of PDP Televisions

Tripath Technology Inc. (Nasdaq:TRPH), creators of Digital Power Processing (DPP(R)) technology and Class-T(TM) advanced 1-bit digital audio amplifiers, announced today that its TA2021B will power Hitachi's new line of Plasma TVs.

The Tripath Class-T(TM) TA2021B digital audio amplifier, producing 12 Watts of stereo sound, is featured in Hitachi's latest Plasma TV line, which includes 32-inch, 37-inch and 42-inch PDP TVs. Hitachi's 50-inch model continues to feature Tripath's TA2020, while Hitachi's newly introduced 28-inch and 32-inch LCD L5000 TV line features Tripath's TA2020. Tripath's Class-T(TM) 1-bit digital audio amplifiers are also currently integrated in other flat panel display products of Fujitsu General, JVC, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp, Sony and Toshiba. Through space-saving technology, low heat dissipation, and high-energy efficiency, Tripath is quickly becoming the technology of choice in the rapidly growing LCD and plasma display markets.
