News Release: Alliance Packaging Selects Business VantagePoint(tm) for its Newly-Merged Operations

VantagePoint Systems, Inc. (TSX-Venture: VPG) today announced that Alliance Packaging of Renton Washington has selected Business VantagePoint(tm) as the standard business software system for its multiple plant operations. Alliance Packaging was recently formed as a merger between Seattle Packaging Corporation and Sound Container, Inc. and operates five corrugated manufacturing and converting plants throughout Washington and Oregon. Alliance will use Business VantagePoint to empower operations and plant professionals to focus on customer demands and to profitably manage business processes-from the initial sales contact through design, estimating, and ordering, all the way to production and delivery.

"Seattle Packaging merged with Sound Container to improve our joint ability to compete in an increasingly tough national marketplace," said Mark Held, president of Alliance Packaging. "Our decision to go with Business VantagePoint was based on the same imperative. We needed a system that could consolidate customer order information from the two companies to support integrated operations and that could handle planning across all plants to maximize resources and meet customer requirements on time, every time."

Business VantagePoint empowers any of Alliance's plants to distribute work across multiple plants in order to balance workloads, improve turn around times and optimize raw materials usage. At the same time, each plant remains autonomous in terms of its ability to manage internal resources. Business VantagePoint allows Alliance to fulfill more orders, handle complex requests as though they were routine, and encourage customer loyalty with unmatched service and fulfillment capabilities.
