Pacific Rubiales confirms oil discovery on the Karoon blocks, offshore Brazil
Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX: PRE; BVC: PREC; BOVESPA: PREB) confirmed today the discovery of light oil at the Kangaroo-1 exploration well drilling on block S-M-1101, in the Santos basin, offshore Brazil. The well was drilled as part of an agreement announced by the Company on September 18, 2012, as a minimum work commitment for both the S-M-1101 and S-M-1165 blocks, where the Company holds a 35% participating interest (subject to approval by Brazil's Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP)).
Atico Drills 119 Meters of 6.9% Copper and 6.3 g/t Gold; Discovers New Massive Sulfide Body at El Roble Mine in Colombia
Atico Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:ATY) announces that ongoing underground drilling at its El Roble mine project in Colombia has discovered a significant new massive sulfide body at the north end of known mineralization, which now extends 360 meters along strike and 250 meters below level 2000, the lowest production level at the mine. The company also reports results of seven new diamond drill core holes (ATDHR-20 through ATDHR-26), which included 119 meters of 6.9% copper and 6.3 g/t gold. Fernando E. Klondex Discovers a New “West Zone” with Significant Visible Gold Mineralization and 123.9 Grams/Tonne (3.6 oz/ton) Gold Over 1.5 Meters (5 feet)
Klondex Mines Ltd. (TSX: KDX or OTCQX: KLNDF), a Northern Nevada gold exploration and development company, announces the discovery of new gold mineralization at its flagship Fire Creek project. The discovery (Figure 1 click here) is approximately 165 meters (540 feet) west of the A-Vein mineralization, which forms part of the Main Zone, and represents a new unexplored zone. Klondex intersected 123.9 grams/tonne gold (3.6 oz/ton) over 1.5 Meters (5 feet) while completing a geotechnical drill hole for the design of the planned vent raise. Eurasian Minerals Inc. The results include an oxide intercept starting at surface of 36.4 meters averaging 5.67 g/t gold and 53.31 g/t silver, with a sub-interval of 2.15 meters averaging 89.34 g/t gold and 835.16 g/t silver that represents the highest grade intercept drilled to date on the property (true widths interpreted as 60-75% of reported interval length). The bonanza intercept highlights the project's high-grade gold-silver exploration potential. Soltoro Drilling Intercepts 91.3 Metres of 129 gpt Silver Equivalent Including 11.2 Metres of 537 gpt Silver Equivalent in a Massive Sulphide Zone
Soltoro Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SOL) has completed three additional diamond drill holes at the El Rayo primary silver project in Jalisco, Mexico. A 350 metre-deep hole was completed below the Las Bolas deposit and two holes were completed north of the La Soledad West deposit. At Las Bolas, 91.3 metres of 129 g/t silver equivalent was intersected including 11.2 metres of massive sulphide mineralization grading 537 g/t silver equivalent encountered 318.8 metres down hole. The deep hole at Las Bolas extends mineralization 70 metres down-dip from the nearest hole with a substantial increase in silver grades. At La Soledad, 0.3 metres of 3,320 g/t silver was returned extending the known high grade silver mineralization an additional 60 metres down dip.

Lupaka Gold Intercepts 10 Metres at 2.09 g/t Gold and 12 Metres at 3.17 g/t Gold in A-1 Zone at Crucero Gold Project
Lupaka Gold Corp. ("Lupaka Gold" or "the Company") (TSX:LPK) announces that it has received assay results from six additional drill holes from the completed 2012 drilling program on its Crucero Gold Project. Of the holes reported, all six were drilled on the A-1 resource zone. These holes along, with the remaining holes still to be assayed, will be incorporated into a NI 43-101 resource estimate update, expected in the first quarter of 2013. DDH-39, in the southwest section of the A-1 Zone mineralized envelope, reported 10 metres at 2.09 g/t gold. DDH-40 in the northeast section on the A-1 Zone contains a significant width of 46 metres at 1.42 g/t gold. DDH-58, also in the northeast section of the A-1 Zone reported 12 metres at 3.17 g/t gold. The results confirm that the A-1 Zone mineralization is continuous along strike and to depth. See Figure 1 below for the A-1 Zone drill hole locations.
Orex Reports 2.7 Metres Grading 840 g/t Silver-Equivalent in a New Target Area on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico
Orex Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:REX) ("Orex"), is pleased to announce the results of the second batch of holes from the 12,000 metres Phase-II diamond drilling program on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. A technical committee, with representation of Orex and its project partner Fresnillo PLC (LSE:FRES) ("Fresnillo"), is managing this Phase-II program. Hole BCO-11 yielded a high-grade Santo Niño vein intercept of core length of 3.30 metres (true width 2.70 metres) grading gold 4.34 g/t and silver 612 g/t, for a gold-equivalent of 16.00 g/t, or silver-equivalent of 840 g/t. Within this intercept is core length 1.20 metres (true width 0.98 metres) grading gold 11.77 g/t and silver 1,655 g/t, for a gold-equivalent of 43.29 g/t, or a silver-equivalent of 2,273 g/t. |
