West Timmins Mining Inc. (TSX:WTM) ("WTM" or the "Company") today announced multiple high-grade gold intercepts from drill testing of its Thunder Creek Joint Venture in Timmins, Ontario. Today's results are highlighted by hole TC09-69a which returned 7.95 g/t (0.23 oz/t) gold over 19.45 metres (63.80 feet), including two higher grade intervals which returned 9.88 g/t (0.29 oz/t) gold over 6.90 metres (22.63 feet) and 11.44 g/t (0.33 oz/t) gold over 6.00 metres (19.68 feet).
Stornoway Reports Complete Diamond Results From Aviat 200 Tonne Bulk Sample
Stornoway Diamond Corporation (TSX:SWY) and Hunter Exploration Group (Hunter) are pleased to report the second and final tranche of results from the processing of a total of 191 tonnes of kimberlite collected during 2008 from the ES1 kimberlite, the largest body within the Eastern Sheet Complex ("ESC") of the Aviat Project, Nunavut. The second tranche of sample, collected at the "AV2" outcrop, returned 213.2 carats of diamonds from 148.3 tonnes (dry weight) of kimberlite, representing a diamond recovery of 144 carats per hundred tonnes (cpht) for stones retained on a +1 DTC screen. The three largest diamonds recovered from this sample are 3.99, 1.72 and 1.22 carats, described as an off white clivage, grey clivage and a white octahedron, respectively. The 3.99 carat stone represents the largest diamond recovered to date from the Aviat project.

First Oil Flows from the West Don Field, UK North Sea
Stratic Energy Corporation (TSX Venture: 'SE', AIM 'SE.') ("Stratic" or the "Company") announces the commencement of production from the West Don field in the UK North Sea.Stratic has a 17.25% interest in the field which is operated by Petrofac Energy Developments.
Production from the field commenced on 28 April, less than one year from receiving government approval for the Field Development Programme. The field is currently producing from the first production well, with the second production well and a water injector due to come on stream early in the third quarter when peak production from the field is expected to reach 25,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd), over 4,300 bopd net to Stratic.

Capstone Mining Corporation (CS: TSX) today announced assay results for 21 new exploration drill holes completed in areas south of the Minto open pit at its high grade Minto copper-gold mine in the Yukon. Included in these results are data for all the remaining 15 holes from the Ridgetop deposit infill drilling, five holes at Area 118 and one exploration hole. The Ridgetop area continues to surprise to the upside, returning high copper grades and a high grade gold intercept in an area not previously known for high gold grades. ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSXV: R) (the "Company") is pleased to announce assay results from several drill holes at the Haile Mine in South Carolina. These holes were designed to increase the density of the drill spacing within the North Resource (Ledbetter) area.
RC-1508 encountered 24.4 meters (80 feet) of 3.72 g/t Au (0.108 opt) 11 meters above another interval of 32 meters (105 feet) of 4.14 g/t Au (0.121 opt). Nevada Copper-Drills High Grade: 42 Meters (136 ft) @ 3.2% Copper, 1 g/t Gold in the E-2 Deposit and 38 Meters (125 ft) @ 3.2% Copper in the East Deposit
Nevada Copper Corp. (TSX:NCU) ("Nevada Copper") reports significant high grade drilling results from the East and E-2 Deposits. Drilling continues to confirm and improve the resource quality and quantity of these deposits at its 100% owned Pumpkin Hollow Copper Development Property located in Nevada.
Drill hole NC08-39 intersected 41.5 meters (136.2 ft), 26.6 meters (87 ft) true thickness, averaging 3.24% copper and 1.0 g/t gold in the E2 Deposit including an impressive higher grade interval of 9.1 meters (30 ft) averaging 6.0% copper and 1.75 g/t gold. NC08-39 was drilled 15 meters (50 ft) to the southwest and along strike of drill hole M-44 (44.2 meters (145 ft) averaging 2.58% copper and 0.89 g/t gold).
Petrominerales Corcel-D3 Well Produces 8,400 bopd
Petrominerales Ltd. ("Petrominerales" or the "Company") (TSX:PMG), a 76.8% owned subsidiary of Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd. ("Petrobank") (TSX:PBG), is pleased to announce that our Corcel-D3 well is producing 8,400 barrels of 27.5 degree API oil per day, at a 23% water cut, from 31 feet of high quality sand, following a successful completion in the Mirador formation. The upper Guadalupe zone was also swab tested at 400 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") of 18.8 API oil with a 10% water cut at low drawdown. We estimate that this zone could produce at rates greater than of 1,000 bopd with a properly sized electric submersible pump.

Eurasian Minerals Discovers Two New High-Grade Copper-Silver-Gold Prospects at Treuil Property, Haiti
Eurasian Minerals Inc. (the "Company" or "EMX") (TSX VENTURE:EMX) is pleased to announce the discovery of the Chardonnay and Bordeaux high-grade copper-silver-gold prospects at the Treuil project in northwest Haiti. At Chardonnay, 63 reconnaissance rock samples taken over a 1.25 square kilometer area returned an average grade of 4.00% copper, including vein samples reporting 24.30% copper and 201 g/t silver, and 1.66% copper and 90.7 g/t gold. Rock sampling over a 1.9 square kilometer area at Bordeaux returned an average grade of 2.66% copper, including a vein sample returning 13.10% copper, 98 g/t silver and 1.7 g/t gold.
Vantex Cuts 245.5 Metres at 0.522 gt/Au on Galloway
The management of Vantex Resources Ltd (TSX VENTURE: VTX) wishes to announce that it has completed a first 1,000 metre drilling phase on the Galloway project located in the Rouyn-Noranda mining dristrict, in Abitibi.
As part of its strategy to develop an open pittable gold deposit and to verify historical results, the company completed a first phase of work consisting in eleven drill holes ranging from 50 to 255 metres in length. Hole VHD09-01 cut the mineralized zone over more than 245 metres, along the hole, with a grade of 0.522 g/t Au while hole VHD09-02, located 45 metres south and 25 metres east of the former, cut the same zone over 145.5 metres, along the hole, with an average grade of 0.526 g/t Au. It shall be noted that these holes were stopped in mineralization. Drill holes VHD09-05 and 08 are respectively located 50 and 25 metres south of VHD09-01 and 02.
Roxmark reports 7.6 g/t Au across 20.5 metres within EP Zone open pit target, as Hardrock drilling continues to intersect high grade gold

Claude Resources Inc. (TSX-CRJ; NYSE Amex-CGR) today reported new drill results from its 8 Zone underground drill program at the Madsen Project, Red Lake, Ontario. Drilling continues to intercept high grade gold mineralization down plunge of the 8 Zone as well as confirming the development of a sub-parallel Footwall target. The four holes completed to date suggest that the 8 Zone structure may be improving with depth as demonstrated by the two deepest intercepts to date returning 0.97 oz/ton over 8.17 feet and 0.75 oz/ton over 25.92 feet.
Red Back Announces New Discovery in Mauritania
Red Back Mining Inc. (the "Company" or "Red Back") (TSX:RBI) is pleased to announce the discovery of a new zone of mineralization at its Tasiast Gold Mine in Mauritania.
Drilling in the area of the current West Branch deposit has identified a new zone of mineralization located in the hanging wall felsic unit, previously considered to be barren ("the Felsite Zone").
First pass drilling on the Felsite Zone has delineated a strong mineralized structure over a strike length of 350m and to a vertical depth of up to 180m. The Zone is open in all directions and drilling is ongoing.
Eagle Plains Drills Intersect High-Grade Gold at Iron Range
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (EPL:TSX-V) has received final results from a 20-hole 1,670m (5,500') drill program completed during 2008 on the Iron Range project, located in the Goat River area 15km NE of Creston, B.C..
