Brett Drills 123 Metres of 1.40 g/t Au

Brett Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BBR) is pleased to report the remaining drill results from its initial 2008 drill program on the Hammond Reef Property, located 22 kilometres northeast of Atikokan, Ontario. Results reported below are from the eastern portion of the A Zone, and from three holes located along strike to the northeast on Mitta Lake. Highlights from the A Zone drill holes include hole BR-099 with 162 metres of 1.23 g/t Au, hole BR-104 grading 1.19 g/t Au over 102 metres and drill hole BR-109 containing 123 metres of 1.40 g/t Au. See drill plan map (http://www.brettresources.com/i/pdf/2008-07-11_AZDP.pdf) for locations of the holes reported herein.

Reported intervals are calculated using a 0.3 g/t Au cutoff over 6 metres and represent down hole lengths, which are roughly perpendicular to mineralization as interpreted on cross section.

Results from hole BR-099, on section 1650E, indicate that the A Zone mineralization is still open down dip to the southeast, and that near surface hanging wall intervals of good grade mineralization continue to be encountered. Drill holes BR-104 and BR-109 are located within a low lying area in the northeastern portion of the A Zone, in an area that had no historic drilling. Results from these holes and other previously reported adjacent holes continue to expand the A Zone mineralization in this area.

Also of significance are the results from drill hole BR-108, located on Mitta Lake. As shown below, it returned 1.50 g/t Au over 36 metres followed closely by an intercept of 1.08 g/t over 34.5 metres. Hole BR-108 is located along the northeast strike of mineralization, indicating that the Hammond Reef deposit is still open in this direction as well. Hole BR-110, also located on Mitta Lake, was abandoned due to deteriorating ice conditions as it was just entering mineralization. Drilling has resumed on the project with more holes planned to test for further extensions of mineralization.

Brett\'s President and CEO Patrick Soares comments \"These results continue to indicate that the Hammond Reef Deposit extends eastward towards the 41 Zone. Our current phase of drilling is focusing on expanding the physical limits of the deposit on strike as well as at depth. New exploration targets delineated by trenching in 2007 will also be targeted as part of the exploration drill program. All drilling completed to the end of April 2008, will be incorporated into the model being prepared for a NI 43-101 compliant gold resource estimate for Hammond Reef. The new resource estimate is anticipated in late summer.\"
