Absolute now offers Costco members a two-year subscription to Computrace LoJack for Laptops Standard and Premium editions via Costco\'s online commerce platform. How Computrace LoJack for Laptops Solutions Work

Based on the same technology used by Absolute\'s corporate customers, Computrace(R) software is embedded in the firmware of computers from the world\'s leading computer manufacturers right at the factory for extreme tamper-resistance.(1) The stealthy Computrace Agent is capable of surviving operating system re-installations, as well as hard-drive reformats, replacements and re-imaging. Computrace LoJack for Laptops Premium edition features a powerful Data Delete service that can remotely erase sensitive files, such as banking records, Internet cookies or photographs, for computer theft victims who are concerned about their privacy. Once initiated, this identity protection service remotely deletes sensitive information using an algorithm that meets U.S. Department of Defense standards.

When a computer is stolen, the Absolute Theft Recovery Team uses information sent via Computrace to investigate computer thefts, document evidence and work with local law enforcement to physically recover missing computers and prosecute computer thieves.
