Geo Minerals Receives Additional Comfort Letters for Saskatchewan Coal Prospecting Permits in East-Central Saskatchewan

GEO MINERALS LTD. (\"Geo\" or the \"Company\") (TSX VENTURE:GM) has received a further \"Comfort letter\" from Saskatchewan Energy and Resources stating that of the coal permit applications processed to date, on behalf of Geo Minerals Ltd., a further 45,526 acres of issued Coal Prospecting Permits (CPP) will be given priority sequence. This brings the total to 113,816 acres that have received comfort letters with first priority in the area of interest in proximity to Goldsource Mines Inc.\'s discovery. All of the applications have been done in accordance with all the rules and regulations set forth by the government of Saskatchewan\'s permitting office.

AMETEK to Acquire Xantrex Programmable Power

Unit of Xantrex Technology Broadens Scope of AMETEK\'s Power Business

AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME) today announced it has agreed to acquire the programmable power business of Xantrex Technology, Inc. (TSX: XTX) for $120 million in cash. Based in San Diego, Xantrex\'s Programmable Power Division is a leader in alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) programmable power supplies used to test electrical and electronic products. It has annual sales of approximately $80 million.

The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the third quarter. AMETEK\'s acquisition of Xantrex Programmable Power is not contingent on the sale of Xantrex Technology Inc. to Schneider Electric announced today.

Raytec Metals Corp. Granted Second Exploration Permit on KP452 Potash Claim

Raytec Metals Corp. (the \"Company\") (TSX-V: RAY) is pleased to announce the receipt of its second exploration permit from the government of Saskatchewan on the Company\'s KP452 Potash claim in south-central Saskatchewan.

The KP452 exploration permit grants the Company the right to explore approximately 36,113 acres of prospective potash ground. The claim is located in the south-eastern portion of Saskatchewan\'s Prairie Evaporite formation, approximately 380 kilometres southeast of the company\'s KP441 package of claims and lies approximately 42 kilometres southwest of the Mosaic Company-Compass Mineral Group\'s K-1 and K-2 potash-salt mines. It is also located 53 kilometres west of Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan\'s Rocanville potash-salt mine.

Red Back Mining Inc.: 1 Million Ounce Akwaaba Deeps Reserve

Red Back Mining Inc. (TSX:RBI) (the \"Company\" or \"Red Back\") is pleased to announce that the ore reserve at Akwaaba Deeps is now over 1 million ounces. Akwaaba Deeps is the Company\'s first underground deposit at its Chirano Gold Mine in Ghana.
