Cline New Elk Coal Mine Update

Cline Mining Corporation (TSX: CMK.TO - News) ("Cline" or the "Company") presents the following update on its development, operation, production and ongoing plans regarding its New Elk Coal Mine in Las Animas County, southern Colorado.

New Elk continues to implement its first phase mine plan referenced in the Company's May 27, 2011 Technical Report (as defined below) and is now bringing its New Elk metallurgical coal mine into full commercial production of high quality metallurgical coke making coal at a rate of 3.0 million tons of saleable coal annually during its initial 20 year mine project plan period.  This production rate is expected to be attained during the first half of 2012.  Saleable coal production during calendar year 2012 is now projected at 2.5 million tons with production in the years 2013 and thereafter at the rate of 3.0 million tons annually. The projection is of course subject to any unforeseen, unexpected and unanticipated delays or events, including the receipt of normal ongoing regulatory permits and approvals, that could affect production or alter time lines.

Cline Mining Sells Its Lossan Met-coal Deposit To Xstrata Coal For Cdn$40 Million

Cline Mining Corporation ("Cline Mining" or the "Company") (TSX:CMK) is pleased to announce that Xstrata Coal has agreed to acquire 100% of the Company's metallurgical coal deposit within Cline Mining's Lossan property ("Lossan") for CDN$40 million, subject to customary conditions. Closing is expected to occur on or about October 12, 2011.

Lossan is located in the Peace River Coalfield of north eastern British Columbia, Canada and has an NI 43-101 compliant resource of 240 million tonnes. Lossan covers an area of approximately 3,800 hectares.

Cline Mining Establishes a Stand-by Commitment for up to US$50 Million

Cline Mining Corporation ("Cline Mining" or the "Company") (TSX:CMK) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a binding term sheet (the "Term Sheet") with Marret Asset Management Inc. ("Marret") on behalf of a syndicate of lenders (the "Lenders") providing for the issuance of up to US$50 million senior secured notes (the "Notes"). The Notes may be issued to the Lenders, at the Company's option, in integral amounts of US$25 million for a maximum of US$50 million at any time prior to the first anniversary of the signing of the Term Sheet subject to completing definitive documentation. The Notes have a maturity date that is two years from the date Cline Mining first exercises its right to issue any Notes to the Lenders and bear a coupon of 10% per annum, payable semi annually in arrears in equal instalments.

Cline Mining Corporation ("Cline Mining" or the "Company") (TSX:CMK) Cline Mining continues on plan to ramp up metallurgical coal production at its New Elk Mine in southern Colorado to reach the initial level of 3.0 million tons annually in the first quarter 2012. On August 24, 2011 the Company commenced to drive three new rock slopes from surface down 500 feet (at 6 degrees) to access the Blue seam which lies 50 vertical feet below the level of the coal plant site.
