London, 17th March 2009 Infosecurity Adviser, the online community for the information security industry, created by the organisers of Infosecurity Europe, has generated a discussion on one of the latest threats to the integrity of the Internet, fast-flux DNS linking. 

In a discussion posting, Andrew Yeomans, an ISAF and Infosecurity Europe Advisory Board member, cross-references security guru Bruce Schneier's blog on a Wikileaks article on how child porn is being distributed on the Internet.

London 11th March 09 Credant Technologies, the military grade encryption specialist, says that reports that the Lothian and Borders Police have lost a USB stick containing vehicle registrations and other information is symptomatic of the public sector being under-resourced when it comes to IT security.

"The good news, however, is that we are seeing increasing numbers of emergency services, including the Police, coming to us for advice, and taking our data encryption plus compliance products to bolster their overall levels of security," said Paul Huntingdon, Director Public Services at Credant.

London 10th March 2009 - Credant Technologies, the endpoint data protection and security specialist is coming to the rescue of local authorities, education and emergency services who are being faced with ex-communication from Government networks as the March 31st compliance deadline approaches.  The Government Connect Secure eXtranet (GCSx) and Code of Connection (CoCo) rules kick in on March 31 and any local authority not meeting the rules could run the risk of losing data and being cut-off from Government networks.

10 March 2009 – telent has been selected by Network Rail to replace the existing Driver Only Operator system at stations across the South East. telent will replace cameras, monitors, housings and cabling at 159 platforms across 66 stations served predominantly by Southeastern and some Southern operated trains.

The Driver Only Operator system allows the train driver to check CCTV monitors on the platform to ensure that passengers are clear of the doors and it is safe to move off. The system enables trains to operate safely, without the need for a train dispatcher and improves train times in and out of the station.
